Ness Yawl "Otter"
This project ran the gamut of boat building techniques and materials: from making 20-foot-long patterns for planking to hand carving oars and spars. Staying true to the design meant understanding and following the designer’s detailed plans and careful execution. A labor of love for sure. The end result is an elegant and fast craft, sturdy enough to row and sail around the rowdy waters of the Salish Sea.
